Breakfast is its own restaurant category in the United States. Diners serve eggs, pancakes, hash browns and bottomless coffee from early morning, sometimes around the clock; breakfast and brunch restaurants open around 7 and close in the early afternoon; delis and sandwich shops sell egg sandwiches and bagels to go and switch to lunch by 11. Weekend brunch, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is the busiest shift of the week, and well-known spots run waits of 30 to 60 minutes; many now take reservations or a waitlist through an app. Expect large portions, free refills on drip coffee and a tip of 15 to 20 percent for table service. Creperies, waffle houses and bistros round out the group with sweeter or European-style menus.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 5:30 am–11 pm. Mt Vernon is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Mt Vernon follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Ocks here are good. Always cleaning making food the way you say. They have the best salads and tuna melts. Also open late so I like this

It has flies buzzing over the food in the glass covered display. The deli worker doesn’t change gloves to prepare food or answer the phone. His beard isn’t covered as he preps the food. None of them are friendly or welcoming. The cashier has been witnessed wiping his finger against the serving spoon, licking his finger off to taste it and doing it again before using the same spoon to stir the rice he is preparing to serve. Patrons come here because they don’t care and it’s convenient. The staff/owners get away with it because of the neighborhood location/customers. The hot food was all right once but the hygiene and service are greatly lacking and unprofessional. I won’t return.

I love it there. That place is clean and cool vibes and a friendly crew and cooks. The food taste good and they brighten up my day just by welcoming you and giving you jokes especially “Mo”. They also give me store credit sometimes if I’m short 5 bucks or so and whenever come back I pay the rest of my balance with no issues. I see police and people from city hall and doctors go there so you know the food is good.

I always get the same thing when I come here, it's a simple cold sandwich; roast beef with provolone, lettuce and mayo. The guys over the counter know it every time they see me and they're fast to make them. The roast beef is just so good and tender every time I get it, it's rarely well done. It's convenient when it comes to pricing, and they have a good variety of snacks that I know some convenience stores don't have.
